# Operator Actions: Sequences

> Several actions in order, with pauses.

Glider documentation · Logic · Web page: https://cgglider.com/docs/actions/sequence/

Sections of this page: [Overview](https://cgglider.com/docs/actions.md) · [Action types](https://cgglider.com/docs/actions/types.md) · [Keys, deck & remote](https://cgglider.com/docs/actions/triggers.md) · [Sequences](https://cgglider.com/docs/actions/sequence.md)

A Sequence runs other actions of this page in order. + Step adds one, and each step can pause before it runs. A sequence stops at the first step that fails, so a Cut never follows a Preview that did not happen; the result lists what ran and why it stopped. Make the actions it runs first.

- At most 64 steps in one run, nested sequences included, and a pause of up to 60 seconds before each step.
- A sequence can run another sequence, four levels deep. A sequence that would run itself is refused.

Example: Preview Scene (the replay scene), then Stinger, then after two seconds Program Overlay 1 on.

> **Not yet:** Action keys do not work in detached panel windows. A Playout panel popped into its own window cannot receive actions. Control-panel buttons cannot run actions yet, and Settings › Keyboard Shortcuts does not list action keys.
