Sections of this page: [1 · Create the page](https://cgglider.com/docs/first-page.md) · [2 · Design the scene](https://cgglider.com/docs/first-page/design.md) · [3 · Bind it to data](https://cgglider.com/docs/first-page/bind.md) · [4 · Animate it](https://cgglider.com/docs/first-page/animate.md) · [5 · Take it to air](https://cgglider.com/docs/first-page/air.md)

1. Menu bar → Logic → Data, switch to the JSON view, and enter {"presenter": "Jane Doe", "role": "Field Reporter"}. Apply it.
2. Select the presenter text node. In the inspector's Content section, click the bind icon beside Text.
3. The Binder opens with the header reading “Connecting Text — pick a key …”. Under Page data, click presenter.
4. The text now paints Jane Doe and its input is locked. Repeat for role.

Change the value in Logic → Data and the graphic follows immediately. That is the whole binding model — everything else is where the value comes from.

> **Note:** To bind to a live API instead, add a poller unit and pick the field from the Binder's Live feeds source; the mapping is written for you.
