# Menu Bar: Logger

The logger combines two feeds into one: the editor's own client-side function logs, and logs persisted on the server. Entries are tagged by source.

| Source tag | Where it comes from |
| --- | --- |
| poller | The editor's poller activity. |
| live | The live/output client. |
| server | Server-side functions and units. |

- Start / Stop controls whether new entries are collected. A dot on the menu item shows the stopped state; a count shows waiting entries.
- Clear empties the feed.
- The feed keeps the last 200 entries; server-side function logs expire after 24 hours.
- Each line carries a timestamp and the source that wrote it.
