# Page Data: Paths

> How a path addresses a value.

Glider documentation · Data · Web page: https://cgglider.com/docs/page-data/paths/

Sections of this page: [Editing data](https://cgglider.com/docs/page-data.md) · [Paths](https://cgglider.com/docs/page-data/paths.md) · [The runtime store](https://cgglider.com/docs/page-data/store.md) · [Reserved paths](https://cgglider.com/docs/page-data/reserved.md) · [Keys view](https://cgglider.com/docs/page-data/keys-panel.md)

A path is a dot-separated route into the page's JSON. Bindings, units, reactions and the API all speak the same syntax.

| Path | Reads |
| --- | --- |
| $ | The whole store. |
| title | A top-level key. |
| score.home | A nested value. |
| items.0.name | The name of the first array element. |
| sheets.<sheetId>.<tab>.<A1> | A bound spreadsheet cell. |

> **The .display convenience:** Clocks write a display string at a path such as match.clock. Binding to match.clock.display still works: if the parent path holds a scalar, it is used. This exists because agents habitually append .display.
