# Animation Presets: Copy a clip

Copy clip… duplicates an existing clip's channels onto another target — the practical way to give six lower-thirds the same motion without rebuilding it six times.

> **Note:** Copying duplicates the channels, it does not link them. Changing the original afterwards does not change the copies.
