# Sessions & Sharing

> Live state for a page that is not saved, and handing a page to someone else.

An in-memory page state with its own URL.

| Endpoint | Does |
| --- | --- |
| POST /api/sessions | Create a session from an editor state; returns its id. |
| GET/PUT /api/sessions/{id} | Read or replace that state. |
| GET /api/sessions/{id}/stream | Subscribe to it over SSE. |

A session is a lightweight way to put a state somewhere another window can follow it, without saving a page.
