- Click to select a cell; drag or shift-click for a range. The name box left of fx shows the selection; type an address there (B7, B7:D9) to jump.
- Type to replace a cell; Enter, F2 or a double-click edits what is there. Enter / Tab commit and move (after a run of Tabs, Enter returns to the starting column), Esc cancels, clicking elsewhere commits.
- The fx bar shows the active cell's raw content — the formula, not its result — and edits the same cell.
- Arrow keys move; Shift extends; Ctrl/Cmd+Arrow jumps to the edge of the data. Delete / Backspace clears the selection.
- Drag the square on the selection's corner to fill: formulas shift, a run of numbers with a steady step continues, anything else repeats. Double-click it to fill down beside the neighbouring column. Ctrl/Cmd+D and Ctrl/Cmd+R fill down / right.
- Copy and paste use the Excel / Sheets convention — tab-separated cells, newline rows — so a range moves between Glider and a real spreadsheet. The clipboard gets values; pasting back into Glider restores the formulas, re-anchored.
- A leading apostrophe keeps text literal: '=not a formula, '007.
- Clear empties the selection; Delete removes rows or columns — formulas that pointed at moved cells follow them, and those that pointed at deleted cells show #REF!.
- Column widths and row heights are adjustable, up to 640 px and 240 px.
- The sheet rail on the left lists workbooks and collapses to give the grid more room.
