# Keyboard Shortcuts: Lists & fields

| Action | Keys |
| --- | --- |
| Rename inline (scenes, panels, nodes, groups, playlists) | Double-click a row |
| Clip the upper row to the one below, or release it (Components list) | Alt / Option + click the line between two rows |
| Commit the rename, or submit the field | Enter |
| Cancel the rename | Escape |
| Close it | Middle-click a tab |

An empty or unchanged name is rejected and the original is restored.
