# Theme & Design Tokens: Restyling

> Changing the look from one place.

Sections of this page: [Tokens](https://cgglider.com/docs/theme.md) · [Primitives](https://cgglider.com/docs/theme/primitives.md) · [Global behaviour](https://cgglider.com/docs/theme/behaviour.md) · [Restyling](https://cgglider.com/docs/theme/restyling.md)

Edit the token values under :root and the whole editor follows. The theme is dark-only by design: this is a control-room tool, used beside a multiviewer in a dim gallery, and a light variant would be a second set of contrast decisions to keep honest.

Operators do not need to touch the stylesheet for the common changes: Settings › General › Appearance sets the accent (the four --accent tokens are derived from one color), the interface scale (80–200%) and Reduce motion (which sets --dur to 0 for the chrome only). The status colors never change, so on air, preview and armed always read the same.

> **Stale CSS in dev:** The dev server sometimes serves a globals.css edit late. Touch the file to force a rebuild rather than debugging the cascade — the stylesheet is almost certainly right.
