A data feed maps fields of an outside payload onto store paths. It polls an HTTP endpoint, holds a WebSocket open, or receives webhook pushes, in JSON, XML or text. Every feed needs at least one field mapping; HTTP and WebSocket feeds also need a URL.

## Actions

- start · stop — control the feed
- refresh — fetch once, now (HTTP only)
- ingest — hand it a payload directly, without a call

See the Data Feeds page for HTTP, WebSocket and webhook feeds, formats, mapping, scheduling and probing in full.
