> Each row, a place, or one item — three ways to read a list.

Arm any field in the Inspector and open the list in the Binder (Variables section). Choose how the cell you click is addressed, then click it.

| Pick by | Reads | Path | Use it for |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Each row | Every repeated row's own item | vars.standings[].score | Cells inside a list container (the default when the armed field is one). |
| By place | Whatever item is in that place now | vars.standings[0].name | "The leader" in a separate bug — follows every sort. |
| By item | This item, wherever it sorts | vars.standings[id=gs].score | One team's score in a scorebug while the table reorders. |

Selectors work on any field: vars.standings[rank=1].name is the current leader, and control-panel widgets can write a row the same way (vars.standings[id=gs].score).
