Binder
The pick surface that connects component inputs to page data, live feeds and sheets.
When a binding does not paint.
| Symptom | Likely cause |
|---|---|
| Clicking a key does nothing | No slot is armed — the header shows the idle text rather than “Connecting …”. |
| Visibility is inverted | A binding onto hidden reads truthy as hidden. A toggle labelled “visible” needs the invert flag; the editor sets it for visibility paths. |
| The field paints but flickers | Two writers on one path, or a unit writing every tick. Check the unit report. |
| Blank on air, fine in the editor | A guard is holding — onMissing of hold, blank or zero decides what a missing value paints. |
| A feed field is greyed out | That poller is disabled. Enable it in Units. |
Truthiness for a hidden binding is deliberately generous: true, 1, "1", "true" and "on" read as true; false, 0, "0", "false", "off", empty string and null read as false. Anything else falls back to JavaScript truthiness.
