Reactions & Triggers

When this happens, do that — the page's only rule primitive, plus the per-clip triggers in the timeline.

Comparators and operands.

An onCompare reaction takes a path, an operator and a scalar operand — a string, a number, a boolean, or null.

OpMeaning
eq / neEqual / not equal.
lt / lte / gt / gteNumeric or lexical ordering.
in / not-inMembership in a collection.
containsSubstring or element containment.

A timeline trigger's condition is richer: each side can come from page data, page memory, poller data, or a literal value, so one path can be compared against another rather than only against a constant.
