Variables

Typed values, lists and key–value maps the operator edits live — with sorting and reordering that animates on air.

The primitive that shows a list: a box, a row template and the rules for which rows show and how.

Inspector → Add → List (or Variables → a list → Show in container) adds a list container to the active scene. It is bound to a list Variable — the page's first list, or a starter list it creates — and every row of the list appears inside it.

PartWhat it isHow you change it
ContainerThe box the list lives in, drawn once. Rows are clipped to it.Select box, then move, resize and style it like any rectangle (fill, border, radius, masks).
Row templateThe row plate and one cell per field (rank, name, score, logo…). Designed once, as the first row.Select row template, then style the cells; add or rebind cells in Inspector → List container → Cells.
RowsOne copy of the template per visible item, in the list's order.Visible rows, direction, gap, start row, filter, sort and row styles in Inspector → List container.
SettingEffect
SourceThe list Variable (or any data array) the rows come from.
CellsEach text or image in the row and the field it shows — pick from the list's fields, $rank (place, ties share) or $position (row number). Add a cell for a field with one click.
Max rowsHow many rows show; the box clips the rest.
Start at rowSkips rows from the top — page two of a table starts at row 9. Ranks stay the list's ranks.
FilterOnly rows whose field matches show (score ≥ 10, group = A, name contains …).
Sort rowsOrders a feed or a sheet range by a field on every update. Lists usually keep their own sort (Variables → Keep sorted).
Row stylesConditional formatting: odd / even rows, the first or last N rows, or rows whose field matches. Each rule colours one member of the row — the row plate's background, a cell's text colour, opacity or weight.
Clip rowsInside box hides row parts outside the container, so rows slide in and out of a window; Overflow lets them spill.
Reorder motionGlide, easing, stagger, and how rows enter and leave.

The canvas shows every row, exactly as it will air: the first row is the template you edit, the rest follow it live. Animating the container (a clip on its group) moves the whole list, rows included.
